Product Description
The FA FireStar Sedan is an up-market sci-fi car for all your futuristic road-trip or city renders.
This is a detailed model designed for close-up use and will even withstand interior viewing without showing polygons or a lack of detail; even the speedometer can be posed, in miles-per-hour or kilometres-per-hour. It's designed to look like no present day car but still retains the familiar hallmarks of a real motor vehicle.
Product Features
There is the signature Fire Angel level of detail and the usual collection of props, including many that can be used in scenes where the car doesn't appear. A hydraulic jack, shopping bags, a spare wheel and cover, a hub-cap, even wheel nuts to give those wheel-change images that little bit extra. There's a Police car version with twin light-bars and a generic US paint scheme or a British one. Need a taxi? You have one in this product, with a traditional yellow colour or you can customise to your hearts content and put a taxi in your scene in any of the colours usable on the car. The taxi and Police car even have a barrier between rear and front seats to keep your driver safe while on the move.
The car is also designed for ease of use. Almost all of the control dials are in the car body, grouped using Poser's dial groups so that you can find them more easily. You can naturally open the doors, but also the glove compartment and the fridge. There are even soft drinks to go in the fridge and a coffee cup for the cup holders, and the level of coffee in the cup can be varied. The colour scheme can be chosen from a large preset list and there are MAT poses provided to apply your own textures to the car (you need to read the ReadMe for details). To make customising the car even easier there is clip art provided (in the freestuff section) containing .PSD files with the buttons used on the touch-screen interface in the car. Other clip art includes the Police badge used on the Police car so you can texture uniforms or other vehicles to match the car.
For more ease of use there are poses provided to position M4, V4, Freak4 and the G2 Male and G2 Female figures in the driving seat with their hands correctly gripping the steering wheel. Tips are included in the Readme for best use of these. The poses come in pairs, one pose for each figure and another for the car, to adjust the seats etc. to fit.
The car is carefully rigged with deforming tyres that can be run flat, and the steering works from a single dial that both turns the front wheels and rotates the steering wheel. For animators there is even a dial to rotate the wheels that can be used to coordinate the rotation with the forward movement of the car (see ReadMe). You can easily switch the car from left hand drive to right hand drive using a single ERC dial. Inside the car the front seats move backwards and forwards, the steering wheel can be adjusted in the same manner and the pedals are mounted on a movable platform too. These featuers allow very tall or very short Poser figures to be posed driving the car with no safety problems.
Many license plates are provided for variety and you can even apply your own using prepared MAT poses (once again you will need to read the ReadMe for details). Flexibility and detail, that's the FireStar Sedan.
