Product Description

Paraceratherium (also known as Indricotherium or Baluchitherium), was a genus of gigantic hornless rhinoceros-like mammals, belonging to the family of the Hyracodontidae endemic to Eurasia and Asia during the Eocene to Oligocene 37.2—23.030 Mya, existing for approximately 14.17 million years.

Paraceratherium is the largest land mammal known. Adult Paraceratherium was 5.5 metres (18 ft) tall at the shoulder, 12 metres (39 ft) in length with the tail. Weight estimates vary greatly, but most realistic and reliable weight estimates are about 20 tons.

It was a herbivore that stripped leaves and twigs from trees.
